This is a fanzine of my favorite musicians in the Seattle area. They just happen to be African American and women. I pay homage to 4 female musicians in the Emerald city who are taking the music scene by storm whether the industry is ready for them or not.

My alter ego has always been Lady of Fire Poetry. I consider the element fire to be a muse for poets and bards alike. Fire is the creative force inspiring us to make art from visual to word and finally to music.

The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows by John Koenig
One of my favorite books. Not a poetry book but the language is poetic as the author is a linguist and will make you sob softly...Enjoy with a little merlot or some other fine wine.
"ledsome- adj.
feeling lonely in a crowd; drifting in a sea of anonymous faces but unable to communicate with or confide in any of them."

The quiet rebel and a true afro-punk at heart.
How To Destroy The Moon
by Tanisha Jackland
Buy the moon then overrun it with greedy men who exude envious faces
Certain men wish all women in the world would cease to exist
These men false gods with mother wounds and ego issues using AI surrogates unknowingly planning their own timely demise...

Me circa 7 years old...
We could be sages again
Burning with the moon
You dying with me
To be risen from the
soot of our bones
We were vicious once
Licking the flames from our limbs
Mending deep as the stones
Come lay down your demons
And be anointed by the
fire
